Many thanks to Pat, Marion, Pauline (Durham South) and Diane(Durham South) who have worked so very very hard over the last few weeks ( and in particular over half term ) in Camp House. They have been on ‘tea duty’ for the work men ( who are a great bunch – very helpful indeed) and have themselves worked tirelessly tidying up, cleaning the lounge floor, removing the curtains so that they could be washed and put back. They have done a tremendous amount of cleaning – floors, windows, showers etc etc

Work done so far:

·        New toilets have been installed

·        New windows

·        Toilets and showers have been painted courtesy of ‘All Dec Northern’ painters of Sunderland. ( They are responsible for also painting the Lodge interior).

·        All the Dining Room and Lounge windows have been replaced with Double Glazed units.

·        The Lounge has been boarded with insulating plaster board and has now been plastered

·        The 1^st floor soffits and outside pelmets are being replaced with Brown PVC and ‘Glazewell’ are packing insulation behind the cladding.

·        ‘Steadfast’  are replacing much of the conduit with trunking and installing cables for the heating

·        All windows, curtains have been washed, bunks and mattress covers have been wiped down

·        The back wall of the dormitory has been boarded and plastered

·        Craft room, Leaders Lounge and Hall will be to tidy and floors cleaned
